My workload has increased significantly over the last year due to word-of-mouth by my lovely authors. I seem to have an infinite editing calendar and will not be taking on new authors or projects at this time.

Editing Services
I am pleased to offer editing services for manuscripts, short stories, and screenplays (must be at least 10 pages in length; all genres are welcome). Prices are shown in USD and all payments will be processed through PayPal. Half of the payment is due immediately, and the other half is due upon completion.

Proofreading
$1 per page (a page is about 250 words)
A proofread is the most basic form of editing. I will read through every word, verifying that your work is free of spelling and punctuation errors.
Copyediting
$2 per page (a page is about 250 words)
Proofreading is included in this price.
Copyediting goes a step beyond proofreading by identifying grammatical issues along with spelling and punctuation errors.
Line Editing
$3 per page (a page is about 250 words)
Copy edits are included in this price.
Line edits focus on problems at sentence and paragraph level. Are there any places where the prose is awkward or hard to understand? Could there be better word choices? The purpose of this edit is to make sure your prose shines at its brightest.
After line edits have been completed and approved by you, I will conclude with a copy edit to make sure your work is free of spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors.
Developmental Editing
$4 per page (a page is about 250 words)
Line edits and copy edits are included in this price.
For the developmental edit I look at big-picture issues involving story structure, pacing, plot, dialogue, and characters. The main focus of the developmental edit is how the story works as a whole. Does the plot make sense and is it free of plot holes? Are the characters multi-dimensional and relatable? Does the dialogue sound realistic or is it excessive and clunky?
After the developmental edit is completed it will be sent back to you for your review. This is followed by a round of line editing. A final copy edit is included once the line edits have been approved.

Outline Critique and Analysis
$25 – $100 (contact me for exact pricing)
This is a thorough critique of your outline and pricing varies on a case-by-case basis. For example, if you send me a two-page summary outline I may only charge $25; for an in-depth, scene-by-scene outline, I may charge $100. The more information you give me, the more help I can provide.
